Even scripted films are useful for city folk that can't visualize from what they read. Besides, most of your "old farmers" will have died off from lack of medical care for the elderly

Re: Consider no-till farming methods

No-till farming takes a lot of big equipment to pull the rollers, and even more in herbicies to keep down the insects, fungus, and mice. With a complete collapse I don't believe no-till is even worth comtemplating

Sociology

Many, myself included, make lists of things that would be nice to have. However, we all seem to be ignoring political situations in that the law of contracts will no longer exist, and probably not many other laws either. Just because we all have read The Knowledge does not mean we will all be on the...

Pre-apocalypse training films

Re: Biodiesel

castor oil can be used as a one-trip lube in the engine. As soon as you shut down you'll need to remove all the castor oil before it jells. I don't have enough knowledge to decide what would be good for the wheel bearings

Re: My list

I'd like to add apathy -- let somone else/the government solve all problems,
credentialism -- your ideas won't be listened to unless you're "approved",
preferential tax treatments -- if the game is no longer fair, then why bother

Birth Control

The first two years will be so trying that women may want to put off pregnancy for a while. Their muscle power will be needed. At least try using the Rhythm Method
