The Flying Sorcerers

Larry Niven, 1971

Not the usual post-apocalypse story; more of a Robinson Crusoe story. A space-farer is trapped on an island on another planet and must improvise all the necessary technology to reach safety. Humorous and good-natured, and sobering. I seem to recall it was originally dedicated to the pioneers at NASA who improvised so much novel technology to put a man on the moon.
