Electroculture is the umbrella term for stimulation of plant growth by electricity ( DC, AC, & ES ), magnetism, monochrome light, and sound.

Growth rate, yields, and quality can be greatly improved with these methods, which range from simple to sophisticated. For example : research @ UC Davis showed that stimulation of fruiting branches with DC increased yields up to 400%.
